US Symbols
Mrs. Frazier's 1st graders
Do you know what these symbols are?
Mrs. Butler's class
is painting a winter, night, snow scene with shadows.
The background started with white paint and then added a drop of blue paint with each ring around the moon.
Second, we added the shadows.
Next, snow!

5th grade self-portraits
These are really incredible. In some cases, the students restarted many times. They were determined to get them just the way they wanted them. Colored pencil face drawings that actually look like the person are very hard. We talked about how each of us doesn't like our own work but we really think our friends did a great job. I think they are amazing and only wish my kids had done them.
Ms. Pyle's kindergarten
Eric Carle's animals
cotton tail rabbit
turkey
bald eagle
I didn't need to label these - you can tell what they are.
GOOD JOB!

Animal Collages
Ms. Pyle's kindergarteners have started preliminary sketches of animals. We're not sure if we'll make the animals out of leaves or paper. The drawings are amazing for kindergarten!
Research!
Mrs. Shellenberger's class has started a research project on insects. We did some preliminary sketching. Next week we'll start paper collages.

Picasso's drawing of Igor Stravinsky
Mr. Valentine's class
Would you be brave enough to draw a picture upside down, little by little and not know what you were drawing?
It was hard but these students did a fantastic job!
